Books for little ones are my favorite. I created this series while carrying my daughter Emilka in my belly. For a while, the publisher and I were searching for an artistic style that would be accessible to young children, yet still allow my handwriting to remain recognizable. I think we succeeded. These books became my children’s companions during their first year, and they were some of the most-read books in our home. That was the greatest reward for me. First Words was the first book published in this series. Children can discover the most basic things, from food and clothing to body parts.
